First Light

During the first two weeks of August, Mt. Rainier comes alive with valleys of wildflowers. For 5 days I hiked for miles throughout the park, searching for the perfect composition. Unfortunately, peak conditions were later than expected due to a late snow melt. On the final day of my trip, I waded into the glacial waters of Myrtle Falls, searching for a composition that would capture the epic scale of Mt. Rainier. As the sun came up, and the water rushed towards me, I knew I had found the composition I was looking for.
