A palette reset, always a welcomed thing. 

Grinding shards, bits and splinters, and coveted pastel remains that are left on the table allows one to start anew. Every little ounce of these precious pigments from the earth are so valuable, I just can bear to brush them away. Total abandon, memory, and folly for a total release after a series of focused portraits.
