Art is always in style.
Rae Cramer
While I have been making jewelry since the 1980s, I discovered beadweaving in 2005 and was immediately hooked. My style of beadwork is “contemporary geometric,” inspired by artists who developed clever, almost intuitive techniques building on the common Peyote stitch. They offered these techniques on an “open source” platform to encourage experimentation. There are no patterns in this style, which means that each piece is unique. I’m inspired by birds and other natural forms, and I also enjoy sharing my bird photography.
Shorter days, cooler nights and time for sweaters and warm colors.
This collection is inspired by those crisp days, back to school, and outdoor adventures before the snow starts to fall. Pumpkins and leaves and the last vivid colors of dahlias and mums.
