I hand-stitched this piece one bead at a time over several months, using Miyuki Delica glass seed beads and One-G nylon beading thread, both considered to be of the highest quality available. Both products are made in Japan.

The color-way is reminiscent of a photo I captured of a Belted Kingfisher flying across fall foliage at the Chicago Botanic Gardens.
