I built her from vintage magazines — decades of messages about how women should look, behave, succeed, love, work. It all piles up. The explosion above her head isn’t chaos. The explosion above her head isn’t chaos. It’s everything she’s been told, absorbed, questioned, and carried.
All of it swirling around — and she’s still standing there, looking straight ahead.
