This painting is from my series "Flower Gates" created late summer/early fall 2026. I layered pigmented inks and watercolor on heavy water color paper--working to create a geometric 'gate' image behind each flower as a way to celebrate/enshrine each particular flower species. Flowers came from my garden, nearby alleys and the farmer's market. Dimensions: 11" wide x 15" high.
