Japanese Bridge, Chicago Botanic Garden

“We wouldn’t be able to study Japanese art, it seems to me, without becoming much happier and more cheerful,” wrote van Gogh to his brother, Theo, in 1888.  I couldn't agree more.  I love going to the Japanese Garden at the Chicago Botanic Garden.  This is the first painting attempting to capture my love for this place.
