I spent six weeks in Zurich, Switzerland in 2024. The hills were very steep and I walked up them daily to get to the market. On the way, I saw many vibrant poppies sprouting up between the cracks in the sidewalk and in the alleys. I painted this semi-abstract work of art in response. I used thick impasto paint and applied the media in an Impressionistic fashion.
