"No Wake" Photopolymer Gravure Print

This image, titled “No Wake” was inspired by the many boat rides I enjoyed along the Chicago River. I hoped to capture the industrial feel of the lone building perched atop a bridge where a "bridge tender" keeps watch for boats and trains.

Photogravure Print also known as Photo-etching. 

The etching happens where light sensitive plate is hit with UV light, creating tiny pits that hold the ink. The plate is processed, ink and printed using my etching press.
