“Pantry” of Ulysses S Grant home in Galena, IL.The photogravure print is made using a metal plate coated with a light-sensitive film. The plate is exposed using a UV light source. After the plate is processed, the hardened polymer plate is ready to ink and print onto lightly dampened paper using an etching press.
