"I Like the Sunrise" (Lithograph Print)

This image, titled and dedicated to Duke Ellington directly reference his 1947 Liberian Suite "I Like the Sunrise", a ballad that symbolizes hope and spiritual renewal themes that are echoed in the vibrant flowers of this print. 

This piece is a four color lithograph of a bouquet of flowers, created using polyester plate lithography, a process I favor to produce rich color separations through multiple plates. Ink is applied to each plate and printed using an etching press. Water color and color pencils were used as embellishment.

Varied Edition (VE) of 3
Each print was individually produced making every print unique.
