Waiting woman

Sculpture is made from clay and glazed with colors of the Ukrainian Flag. This piece was inspired by the hardship of the war with Russia and the countries' loss of valuable museum art. NYTs reported that looting of art has been commonplace. They pictured a sculpture of a woman which was too large to be taken. This photo inspired my piece. The young woman in my sculpture has a similar cap used in the country and appears sad.
